Authentication Hub provides "mutually trusted third party" for
distributed identification, authentication and authorization so that
data is never exchanged between IoT end points without proven
identity. Multiple Authentication Hubs are allowed for load
"Proof of knowledge" based authentication greatly reduces the risk
of password leakage. Although the whole process is inherently
resistant to heartbleed, man-in-middle and dictionary attack
(Authentication Hub does not store and never asks for passwords and
keys) however SSL/TLS is supported for additional security.
Overlay Hub is a high performance message indirection server that
routes data between IoT end points. A cluster of Overlay Hubs can be
used for scalability and high availability. Overlay Hub supports end
point registration, end-to-end message based multistreaming and
publish-subscribe based multicasting. Overlay Hub uses SSL/TLS to
secure all communications.
Software Development Kit
Software Development Kit allows developers and device
manufacturers to build IoT end points, connect them with the Wanhive
IoT platform and exchange messages. The kit supports C/C++ and
includes documentation to get you started quickly. SSL/TLS support
is provided via openssl integration.
Wanhive IoT Console
Wanhive IoT Console is a web based application which hosts a
registry in it's backend that allows you to store and manage
identities and metadata of your IoT end points. Number of end points
can be grouped together into "Domains" and are not allowed to
communicate outside of their respective domains.
Smart Hub is a low profile Linux powered SBC bundled with
Authentication Hub, Overlay Hub and the IoT Console. The hardware is
LAN/WIFI/Bluetooth enabled for easy connectivity with IoT end
points. A single Smart Hub hosts up to 1000 IoT end points and
handles 75000 messages per second making it suitable for Smart Home
and small IoT projects.
